So I went back and forth on this. I couldn’t decide. It’s not always clear, with some people, what fairy tale character they are. I thought you might be a white deer, but no. You, Mary, are an elf.

You’re an elf. According to lore, elves often appear as little children, filled with joy. You are so joyful your childlike happiness puts a smile on the faces of all who see your crazy curls and gorgeous smiling face. But elves are not seen just as children, they are known for having untold wisdom that belongs not to them, but that someone whispered in their ear to tell others. You are a messenger from Christ. Elves are often overlooked in their importance and brushed off, but Sauron would not have been defeated without the wisdom of the elven people.

Just as elves are typically joyful, their knowledge and uniqueness often make them prone to bouts of lonesomeness or depression because, in their wisdom, they know that they cannot settle for anyone any less wise or unique than themselves. They often experience the emotions felt by others so strongly that it can be seen as a detriment, but I see it as a strength.
