In this Gospel, we hear the classic bible line, “Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things.”
This is so important!!
I have been so caught up with midterms lately and freaking myself out about making plans and making sure I get everything done in time. There’s the key word: time.
Sometimes I fail to remember that God is outside of time, and that I don’t have to constantly be thinking about what is coming next.
When I get stuck in a rut of looking at what is happening in a month, a week, or even two days from now, I’m failing to thank God for this present moment.
I’m breathing!! I’m alive!! What a gift!!
God is constantly calling out to us, saying, “It is Me… here, now… for you!”
He is right now. He is present. Acknowledge Him, be with Him.
Stop. Just be. Tomorrow will worry about itself.
